DAY 01

ARRIVE DELHI

Arrive Delhi by International flight. Meeting on arrival and transfer to hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 02

IN DELHI

Full day city tour of Old & New Delhi. Overnight in Delhi. Among some of the most interesting highlights of your city tour of Old and New Delhi are the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat in the old city area and the Government Buildings, a drive through the majestic Rajpath to the India Gate, the Laxmi Narayan Temple, the Humayun's Tomb, the Qutab Minar etc. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 03

DELHI/LEH

Leave Delhi for Leh by morning flight. Meeting on arrival and transfer to hotel. AM : Free to get acclimatize PM : Visit Samkar Gompa & Shanti Stupa. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 04

LEH

Full day excursion to Hemis, Shey & Thikse. Hemis - 40 kms from Leh, is the wealthiest, best-known and biggest Gompa of Ladakh, situated on the banks of Indus. The monastery, which houses 500 monks, has beautiful paintings & Thangkas. Shey - situated on a Hillock, where a 7.5 metre high copper statue of Buddha, plated with gold is installed here. Thiksey - 19 kms from Leh, spectacularly sited and architecturally most impressive Gompa. Later in the afternoon visit Stok Museum. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 05

LEH/LIKIR/YANGTHANG

Morning drive to Likir to visit the Likir Monastery on the old caravan road from Basgo to the bridge of Khalse. Visit the huge 9-storey open standing statue of Future Buddha, which is one of its kind in the entire Himalayan Buddhist belt. Later begin the trek crossing over the Pobe-La en route trek pass the lonely village Sumdo and continue along a valley and reach Chartse-La and then proceed to Yangthang. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 06

YANGTHANG/ANG

Morning trek along Wullu valley and after coming over Shemchan La, arrive at the village of Hemis -Shukpachan. Later resume trek for another 2 hours and arrive at Ang village, a beautiful and bowl shaped village. On arrival visit a local house and enjoy Ladakhi Gur-Gur tea (butter tea). Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 07

ANG/KHALTSE

Morning trek to Khaltse, which is the longest and the most interesting trek. After a short trek from Ang enter Tingmosgang village, the famous village of Ladakh which is known for its Apricots, Apples and Walnuts. At the end of the village visit the ancient palace of Tingmosgang surrounded by ruined buildings. Later, trek to Tia village and crossing over the Bongbong La pass descent along a gentle slope and arrive at Khaltse. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 08

KHALSE/ALCHI/LEH

Morning drive to reach Leh en route visiting Alchi Gompa: Founded in 1100 AD by the famous Tibetan translator Lotsava Rinchen Zangpo. In its few small dark prayer halls surrounded by Apricot trees you will find one of the most interesting and immensely beautiful wall paintings. Later drive back to Leh. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 09

IN LEH

AM : Visit Phyang monastery which possess three main temples. The Alter, which is protected by a glass case, shelters many Buddhas such as Vairochana, Avalokiteswara of eleven heads and thousand arms and Maitreya. PM : Visit Spituk Gompa - a 15th century Gompa, situated 8 kms from Leh, where several icons of Buddha and Thankas are found. It has collection of ancient masks, antique arms and an awe-inspiring image of Mahakal. Evening witness Ladakhi Folklore. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 10

LEH/DELHI

Leave Leh for Delhi by morning flight. Meeting on arrival and transfer to hotel. Day free at leisure. Late evening transfer to International airport to board onward flight.
