DAY 01 ARRIVE DELHI
 

Upon arrival you will be met at the airport by our representative and transferred to the hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 02 IN DELHI
 

Morning full day sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi. Among some of the most interesting highlights of your city tour of Old and New Delhi are the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat in the old city area and the Government Buildings, a drive through the majestic Rajpath to the India Gate, the Laxmi Narayan Temple, the Humayun's Tomb, the Qutab Minar etc. Overnight at the hotel.


DAY 03 DELHI-LEH
 

Very early morning transfer to the airport for the flight to Leh. The capital of Ladakh district, Leh is located on the banks of the Indus at an altitude of 3354 mts. The rest of the day is left free for acclimatization. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 04 LEH
 

Visit Hemis, approximately 40 kms away is the wealthiest, best known and the biggest Monastery in Ladakh. It was built in 1630 during the reign of Sengge Namgyal. Also visit Stok to visit the palace of the banished royal family. The Stok Museum has some fabulous displays including period costumes and jewellery of the royalty, along with Exquisite Thankas (scrolls) representing the life of the Sakya Muni. Overnight at the hotel.


DAY 05 LEH
 

Visit the Phiyang monastery, which was built by Tashi Namgyal in the later half of 16th century. It belongs to the Red cap sect of Buddhists. Hundreds of icons of Buddha and other gods kept on wooden shelves can be seen here. Overnight at the hotel.


DAY 06 LEH
 

Visit the Shey monastery, located on a hillock approximately 15 kms upstream from Leh, which was once the residence of the royal family. Our next stop is the Chemre monastery. It was constructed as a funeral act of merit on Sengge Namgyal's death in 1645. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 07 LEH-ULLEYTOPKO
 

Drive from Leh to Alchi. Located 70 kms from Leh on the banks of the Indus, the Alchi Gompa dates back a thousand years. Also visit Lamayuru - the oldest holy site in Ladakh. And one of the best-located monasteries in the entire Ladakh district. Overnight at Uleytokpo camp. Overnight at the hotel.


DAY 08 ULLEYTOPKO-LEH
 

Visit the Likir Gompa - founded in the 11th century AD and rededicated to a different dynastic order in the 15th century. Later drive back to Leh and check-in to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 09 LEH-DELHI
 

Transfer to the airport to board your flight back to Delhi. Assistance on arrival and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day free for independent activities. Overnight at the hotel.


DAY 10 DELHI
 

This is a reserve day as operation of flight to and from Leh is subject to weather permitting. Optional excursion to Agra to see the architectural marvel and eternal monument of love - Taj Mahal and the Majestic Red Fort of Agra from where the Mughals ruled. Return to Delhi in the evening and late night transfer to the airport to board flight back home.

DAY 11 DEPART DELHI
