Later sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city. Kathmandu is the capital of Hindu Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal, is also known as Kantipur. Tour includes visit to Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, the ancient royal residential quarter, Mahadev and Parvati Temple, Machender Bahal, holy to both Buddhists and Hindus, and the Temple House of Kumari the Vestal Virgin or the Living Goddess, who acknowledges the greetings of devotees from the balcony of her temple residence. Walk around the local bazaars and visit Singha Durbar.
Swayambunath, which is said to be 2000 years old. The stupa, which forms the main structure, is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper guilt. Painted on the four-sided base on the spire are the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. The whole area round the stupa is an array of small stupas and temples. Overnight at the hotel.
