after breakfast sightseeing tour of Kathmandu
City, Kathmandu is the capital of Hindu
Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal, is also known
as Kantipur. Tour includes visit to Durbar
Square, Hanuman Dhoka, the ancient royal
residential quarter, Mahadev and Parvati
Temple, Machender Bahal, holy to both
Buddhists and Hindus, and the Temple House
of Kumari the Vestal Virgin or the Living
Goddess, who acknowledges the greetings
of devotees from the balcony of her temple
residence. Walk around the local bazaars
and visit Singha Durbar.
Swayambunath
which is said to be 2000 years old. The
stupa, which forms the main structure,
is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick
and earth supporting a lofty conical spire
capped by a pinnacle of copper guilt.
Painted on the four-sided base on the
spire are the all-seeing eyes of Lord
Buddha. The whole area round the stupa
is an array of small stupas and temples.
Bhaktapur
(also known as Bhadgaon) is the home of
medieval art & architecture. Bhaktapur
was founded in the 09th century and is
shaped like a conch shell. The city is
at a height of 4600 ft above sea level.
Visit the Durbar Square with its array
of temples overlooked by the Palace of
55 windows built by King Bhupindra Malla
and The Nyatapola Temple.
Bodhnath the
colossal Stupa is one of the largest in
the world. This stupa has the all seeing-eyes
of the Buddha by king Mana Deva in expiation
of his sins of the advice inset with prayer
wheels.
Pashupatinath Temple
one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated
to Lord Shiva situated on the banks of
the sacred Bagmati River. The temple is
built in Pagoda style and has gilted roof
& richly carved silver door.Overnight
