Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
Assistance upon arrival and transfer to hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 02 : In Delhi
Morning sightseeing tour of Delhi. Delhi city - Among some of the most interesting highlights of your city tour of Old and New Delhi are the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat in the old city area and the Government Buildings, a drive through the majestic Rajpath to the India Gate, the Laxmi Narayan Temple, the Humayun's Tomb, the Qutab Minar etc. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 : Delhi - Varanasi
Morning transfer to airport to board 9W 723 at 1045/1155 hrs to Varanasi. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath, the fabled place bear testimony to its great past where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon to his disciples expounding the principles of Buddhism. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04 : Varanasi - Bodhgaya
Boat-ride on Ganges. In Varanasi life and various activities revolve around the river. Life begins before dawn when thousands of pilgrims - and devotees - come down to the river to offer early morning prayers. Also visit the famous ghats and enjoy a spectacular view of sunrise from river Ganges. Return to hotel. Temples of Varanasi including Durga Temple: Dedicated to Goddess Durga, consort of Lord Shiva. Bharat Mata Temple: This temple was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi and houses one of the most perfect relief of India carved out of marble. Tulsi Manas Temple: Built in white marble this unique temple has the whole of Ram Charit Manas (Ramayana) inscribed on its wall. Well laid out landscaping around the temple adds to its beauty and Banaras Hindu University. Later drive to Bodhgaya (approx. 293 kms/06 hrs). Assistance upon arrival and check - in at the hotel. Bodhgaya - most sacred place for Buddhists as it has a Peepul tree under which Gautama the Buddha attained enlightenment some 2500 years back. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05 : Bodhgaya
Morning sightseeing tour of Bodhgaya visiting Mahabodhi Temple - depicting the various phases of Buddha's journey towards Bodhgayaenlightenment, showing different aspects of his life; Bodhgaya Archaeological Museum - houses a small collection of Buddhist sculpture from the 1st century B.C, to the 11th century A.D; Jagannath Temple close by has a four armed statue of Shiva in black stone. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 : Bodhgaya - Patna
Morning drive to Patna (approx. 193 kms/04 ? hrs). Assistance upon arrival and check - in at the hotel. Afternoon city tour visiting Har Mandir Sahib, Patnaalso known as Patna Sahib, consecrates the place where the 10th Guru of the Sikhs Guru Gobind Singh was born in 1776; Golghar - is a large dome-like structure from where one can have a fine view of the Ganga and the surroundings of the city; Patna Museum - has a rich collection of Mauryan and Buddhist sculptures, terracotta and other interesting items of the items. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07 : Patna - Kushinagar
Morning drive to Kushinagar (approx. 231 kms). Assistance upon arrival and check - in at the hotel. Later visit the Rambhar Stupa, which marks Buddha's cremation ground. Also visit the Mahaparinirvana temple, which houses the recumbent figure of Lord Buddha. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 08 : Kushinagar - Balrampur
Morning drive to Balrampur (approx. 216 kms). Assistance upon arrival and check - in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 09 : Balrampur - Lumbini
Morning drive to Lumbini (approx. 183 kms). Assistance upon arrival and check - in at the hotel. Lumbini is the place where Buddha was born 2500 years ago. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 : Lumbini - Kathmandu
Morning free at leisure. Afternoon departure transfer to airport to board 3Z-108 at 1310/1350 hrs to Kathmandu. Assistance upon arrival and transfer to hotel.Lumbani Later sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city. Kathmandu is the capital of Hindu Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal, is also known as Kantipur. Tour includes visit to Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, the ancient royal residential quarter, Mahadev and Parvati Temple, Machender Bahal, holy to both Buddhists and Hindus, and the Temple House of Kumari the Vestal Virgin or the Living Goddess, who acknowledges the greetings of devotees from the balcony of her temple residence. Walk around the local bazaars and visit Singha Durbar. Swayambunath, which is said to be 2000 years old. The stupa, which forms the main structure, is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper guilt. Painted on the four-sided base on the spire are the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. The whole area round the stupa is an array of small stupas and temples. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 : Kathmandu
Morning sightseeing tour of Bodhnath, Pashupatinath Temple and Bhaktapur.Kathmandu Bodhnath, the colossal Stupa is one of the largest in the world. This stupa has the all seeing-eyes of the Buddha by king Mana Deva in expiation of his sins of the advice inset with prayer wheels. Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva situated on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River. The temple is built in Pagoda style and has gilted roof & richly carved silver door. Bhaktapur (also known as Bhadgaon) is the home of medieval art & architecture. Bhaktapur was founded in the 09th century and is shaped like a conch shell. The city is at a height of 4600 ft above sea level. Visit the Durbar Square with its array of temples overlooked by the Palace of 55 windows built by King Bhupindra Malla and The Nyatapola Temple. Afternoon excursion to Patan, an old Newar city includes the historic Durbar Square, the Golden Gate, the sky piercing Temple of Teleju, the statue of Yogendra Malla and the old windows and carved balconies of wood, curio shops and bazaars. Return via the Tibetan Handicrafts and Refugee Center. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12 : Depart Kathmandu
