Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
Welcome to India! Meeting and assistance on arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02 : In Delhi
Afternoon half day sightseeing tour of Old Delhi Among some of the most interesting highlights of your city tour of Old are the Red Fort the Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat in the old city area including an adventurous cycle rickshaw ride through the narrow Heritage streets of Chandni Chowk. In New Delh, visit the Humayuns Tomb, the Government Buildings, a drive through the majestic Rajpath to the India Gate and the tallest tower – Qutub Minar. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 : Delhi - Alsisar
Morning after breakfast, departure by surface to Alsisar (250 Kms/06.5 hrs approx.), upon arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of the painted Havelis of Alsisar in the Shekhawati and the Stepwell. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04 : Alsisar - Bikaner
Morning after breakfast, departure by surface to Bikaner (245 Kms/05 hrs approx), upon arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon city tour of Bikaner city. The tour of Bikaner starts with a visit to Junagarh Fort built by Raja Rai Singh, a General in the army of Emperor Akbar. See the marvels in architecture intricate carvings on red sand stone, some of the finest collections of Armory Golden Work and also raised lacquer work with glass inlay etc. Also visit Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum, the best museum in Rajasthan having a vast collection of rate exhibits covering almost every period of Indian history. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05 : Bikaner - Jaisalmer
Morning after breakfast, departure by surface to Jaisalmer (330 kms/07.05 hrs approx). en-route visiting Karni Mata Temple at Deshnoke, upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 : In Jaisalmer
Morning after breakfast City tour of Jaisalmer – the last citadel in the desert. The Golden fort of Jaisalmer used to be a regular scheduled stop for the caravans plying on the ancient silk route, and was a major trading centre. Visit the Golden Fort, built in 1156 AD by Rawal Jaisal and is situated on 76 m high Triangular mound. Jain Temples, Gadisar Lake, Folk Museum, Havelis, Bara Bagh-Cenotaphs built amidst gardens, Afternoon excursion to Sam Sand Dunes, situated 45 kms west of Jaisalmer, with cluster of Sand Dunes. These Dunes varying in size from 3 to 15 kms to a large extent are of shifting sands where wind heaps and the sand into hills or deep hollow scopes. Upon arrival check in at camp, evening enjoy the sun set in the evening with its changing colours in desert and take a short Camel ride. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07 : Jaisalmer – Jodhpur
Morning after breakfast, departure by surface to Jodhpur (300 Kms/07 hrs approx), upon arrival check in at hotel. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 08 : Jodhpur – Ranakpur – Udaipur
Morning after breakfast, sightseeing tour of Jodhpur city. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill, including Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. Later visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing Marble Memoriam built in 1899 and the museum located in the Umaid Public Gardens. Later departure by surface to Udaipur (260 kms/6 hrs approx.) en-route visiting Ranakpur Jain Temples built in the 15th century are situated in the lovely valley of the Aravali. Its surrounding is quite and picturesque. Ranakpur has grand structures and beautiful sculpture. There are 1444 pillars in the temple different from each other. The magic of light and shade is awe-inspiring. Upon arrival check–in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 09 : In Udaipur
Morning after breakfast, sightseeing tour of Udaipur. Among the places visited are the City Palace – a majestic architectural marvel towering over the lake. A conglomeration of courtyards, pavilions, terraces, corridors, rooms and hanging gardens. The main entrance is through the Triple arched gate “Tripolia” with eight marble porticos; the Jagdish temple- built in 1651 by Maharana Jagat Singh, this Indo – Aryan temple is the largest and the most beautiful temple of Udaipur with note worthy sculpted images; the Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal, which houses an interesting collection of folk dresses, ornaments, puppets, masks, dolls, folk musical instruments, paintings etc; the Saheliyon ki Bari with its many fountains etc. A highlight of your trip to Udaipur is a sunset boat cruise on the beautiful placid Lake Pichola. The lake is surrounded by hills, palaces including the beautiful city palace, temples, bathing ghats and embankments. There are two island palaces, The Jagmandir and Jagniwas and also the beautiful Lake Palace sits on an island in this lake. Boat rides, which originate from the City Palace jetty (known as Bansi Ghat), are a popular way of exploring the natural beauty of Udaipur. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 : Udaipur – Pushkar
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Pushkar (280 kms/06.05 hrs approx) which is the home to one of just two Brahma Temples in the country (the other being in Goa). Brahma was cursed by his wife because of which, he is worshipped nowhere else in India. While temples to Vishnu and Shiva abound, the third of the trinity goes unrecognized. Legend has it that at Pushkar, where a lotus fell from Brahma’s hands, a lake sprang up, and so here Brahma is worshipped. At the heart of Pushkar is the Brahma Temple, made from marble, with Brahma’s vehicle, the turtle, cast in silver at its entrance. At the booth of the temple is the Lake surrounded by bathing Ghats. Here you can sit and meditate while the faithful take a dip. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 : Pushkar – Jaipur
Morning after breakfast, departure by surface to Jaipur (140 Kms/03 hrs approx), upon arrival check in at hotel. Rest of the day free for Independent activities. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12 : In Jaipur
Morning after early breakfast, excursion to Amber Fort, the ancient capital of the State until 1728. Visit the Jagmandir of the hall of victory glittering with mirrors, Jai Mahal and Temple of Kali. Later sightseeing tour of Jaipur city. Among the principal sights are the Jantar Mantar of the Observatory, The Palace of Winds or Hawa Mahal, the City Palace & Museum. Jaipur is also a major center of precious and semi precious stones, jewellery, cotton textiles and the typical Blue Pottery. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13 : Jaipur – Ranthambore
After early breakfast, depart by surface to Ranthambore and upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Ranthambore - the 392 sq km National Park is the earlier hunting preserve of the Maharajas of Jaipur, the Park at Ranthambore was once the scene of royal hunting parties. Today, it is famous for its tigers and is one of the best places in the country to see these majestic predators in the wild. The tigers can be spotted quite often even during the day, at their normal pursuits - hunting and taking care of their young. Ranthambore has large numbers of Sambar, chital and nilgai. Sounders of boar and an occasional gazelle - the chinkara can be seen, as also the Indian hare, mongoose and monitor lizards. The lakes and pools at the Park are where the deer congregate and where it is easiest to see the animals. Among the other local fauna are the leopard, hyena, jackal, jungle cats, sloth bear and marsh crocodile. Dinner and overnight at the hotel
Day 14 : In Ranthambore
Early morning and late afternoon Jeep Safari to the Ranthambore National Park. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 15 : Ranthambore- Fatehpur Sikri – Agra
Morning after breakfast, departure by surface to Agra en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri the deserted capital of Mughal India. Among the principal attractions of Fatehpur Sikri are the large audience halls, palaces, the Mosques, the tomb of Salim Chishti, The Panchmahal, and the Buland Darwaza, Which is among the biggest gates in Asia. Upon arrival check – in at the hotel.
Day 16 : Agra - Delhi Depart
Early morning visit Taj Mahal at sunrise the one of the seven wonders of the world - Taj Mahal, (Closed on Friday) built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan, this beautiful mausoleum is built of pure white marble and is an architectural marvel. Built in the memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. The building was conceived as a garden tomb with the mausoleum rising at the far end of the complex with the river Yamuna flowing below. Beneath the dome are the cenotaphs of Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jehan After breakfast visit Agra Fort built by Emperor Akbar over the years 1565 – 1573 with its maze of courtyards, mosques, and private chambers. Most of the buildings originally built by Akbar were destroyed and were replaced by his grandson Shah Jehan. The only surviving structure from Akbar’s period apart from the solid sand stone ramparts and the gateway is the Jahangir Mahal. It is the biggest private residence in the complex and its architecture indicates strong influences from Hindu overtones. Overnight at the hotel.
