Day 01 : Arrive Kochi

Welcome to India!!On arrival, you will meet our RIV representative & proceed to hotel. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 : Kochi - Thekkady

After breakfast city tour of Kochi sightseeing tour of Kochi (Cochin) – an important port city with a famous Jewish settlement and Synagogue, the Dutch Palace, the Chinese Nets, the Church of St Francis and the Tomb of Vasco da Gama.

Afternoon depart by surface to Thekkady.

Thekkady, located in central Kerala, is a popular hill station and a wildlife centre. This town, which is an important plantation centre, conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hills and spice scented plantations. Periyar Forest of Thekkady is one of the finest wildlife reserves of India and spread across the entire district are picturesque plantations and hill towns that hold immense opportunities for treks and mountain walks. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary offers a fairly good chance of seeing the great Indian tiger in its natural habitat.

Day 03 : In Thekkady

After breakfast take game viewing boat-ride on the Artificial Periyar Lake.  Amongst the animals spotted here are wild elephants, which can be seen and photographed at close quarters, wild boar, sambar, tier, leopard, wild dog and languor monkeys. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04 : Thekkady - Alleppey

Morning after breakfast depart by surface to Alleppey to  board a House Boat stationed right at the Resort on the backwaters of Kerala, the Vembanad Lake, which will cruise you through the small canals to show the natural beauty, paddy fields, coconut groves, local villages, toddy tapping, fishing and local villagers on their day to day affairs.  The House Boat would have an air-conditioned bath attached bed room with a sit out and a kitchenette, where they will cook typical Kerala Cuisine and serve your lunch, Dinner and breakfast. Overnight on board houseboat.

Day 05 : Alleppey - Kumarakom

Morning after breakfast, disembark from the houseboat and departure by surface toKumarakom hotel.Kumarakoman unbelievably beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, emerald green paddy fields, and coconut groves interspersed with enchanting waterways and canals adorned with white lilies. Situated on the VembanadLake, in this small water world, you will come across plenty of traditional country crafts, boats and canoes.  Located on the banks of the VembanadLake, is the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary – an ornithologist’s paradise, is a favorite haunt of migratory birds like the Siberian stork, egret, darter, heron and teal.  Other common varieties like woodp0ecker, skylark, crane, water hen and parrots can also be spotted here. Upon arrival check-in at the resort. Rest of the day at leisure to relax at this beautiful backwater resort. Overnight at the Resort.

Day 06 : Kumarakom - Kochi - Delhi

Morning after breakfast, departure transfer to airport to board flight to Delhi.On arrival, you will meet our RIV representative & proceed to hotel. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. 

Later visit Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat in the old city area and the Government Buildings, a drive through the majestic Rajpath to the India Gate. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07 : In Delhi

Morning after breakfast, sightseeing tour of the Humayun’s Tomb and the QutabMinar etc.Birla Laxmi Narayan Temple, Safarjung Tomb, Lotus Temple &Iskcon Temple  Overnight at the hotel.

Day 08 : Delhi - Jaipur

After breakfast, depart by surface to Jaipur. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 09 : In Jaipur

Morning after early breakfast, excursion to Amber Fort, the ancient capital of the State until 1728. Visit the Jagmandir of the hall of victory glittering with mirrors, Jai Mahal and Temple of Kali.Take a ride on gaily decorated elephant to the ramparts of the Fort.

Afternoon city tour of Jaipur city. Among the principal sights are the JantarMantar of the Observatory, The Palace of Winds or Hawa Mahal, the City Palace & Museum. Jaipur is also a major center of precious and semi precious stones, jewellery, cotton textiles and the typical Blue Pottery. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 : Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra

Morning after breakfast,  depart by surface to Agar en-route visiting FatehpurSikri, the deserted capital of Mughal India. Among the principal attractions of FatehpurSikri are the large audience halls, palaces, the Mosques, the tomb of Salim Chishti, The Panchmahal, and the BulandDarwaza, which is among the biggest gates in Asia. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 : In Agra

Morning after early breakfast, sightseeing tour of Agra city sightseeing tour, which includes:Taj Mahal (closed on Friday), built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan, this beautiful mausoleum is built of pure white marble and is an architectural marvel. Built in the memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. The building was conceived as a garden tomb with the mausoleum rising at the far end of the complex with the river Yamuna flowing below. Beneath the dome are the cenotaphs of Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jehan.

 

Later visit Sikandra Fort &Agra Fort built by Emperor Akbar over the years 1565 – 1573 with its maze of courtyards, mosques, and private chambers. Most of the buildings originally built by Akbar were destroyed and were replaced by his grandson Shah Jehan. The only surviving structure from Akbar’s period apart from the solid sand stone ramparts and the gateway is the Jehangir Mahal. It is the biggest private residence in the complex and its architecture indicates strong influences from Hindu overtones. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 12 : Agra - Jhansi - Orchha - Khajuraho

After breakfast departure transfer to Railway station to board Gatimann Express  to Jhansi (0955-1235hrs). Assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel.

Afternoon sightseeing tour of Orchha’s grandeur has been captured in stone, frozen in time and a rich legacy and the palaces and the temples built by it Bundela rulers in the 16th and 17th century retain much of their pristine perfection. JehangirMahal, a tiered palace crowned by graceful chattries has a spectacular view of soaring temples spires and cenotaphs. Later depart by surface to Khajuraho. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13 : Khajuraho - Varanasi

Afternoon, sightseeing tour of Eastern & Western Group of Temples. Western Group is the best known as it is to this group that the largest and most typical Khajuraho temples belong theKandariyaMahadeo Perfectly symmetrical, it soars 31 metres high. The main shrine is in an almost perfectly state of preservation. This shrine has an exquisitely carved entrance arch with a multitude of themes: celestial beings, lovers, serenading musicians’ movement captured in stones and frozen in time, yet retaining the warmth of pulsating life. The stones seem to have taken on the sensuousness of the carved figures. Eastern Group: Hindu and Jain temples make up the eastern group, close to Khajuraho Village. The largest Jain temple, Parsvanath, is in this group. Sculptures on the northern outer wall make this temple the finest in the group. The carvings are timeless, of a woman bending thoughtfully over a letter, a damsel removing a thorn from her foot. The sanctum has a throne facing a bull, emblem of the first Tirthankara, Adinath. The actual image of Parsvanath, from which the temple derives its name, was installed in 1860.

Afternoon departure transfer to airport to board flight Air India AI 1420-1505 hrs to Varanasi. Assisatnce on arrival at the airport and transfer to hotel. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Evening Ganga Aarti. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 14 : Varanasi - Delhi

Early morning at sunrise take Boat-ride on Holy River Ganges. In Varanasi life and various activities revolve around the river. Life begins before dawn when thousands of pilgrims – and devotees – come down to the river to offer early morning prayers. Also visit the famous ghats to enjoy spectacular view of sunrise from river Ganges.

 

Morning after breakfast, departure transfer to airport to board flight to Delhi. Upon arrival transfer to airport to board flight back to home.
